For all enquiries please email info@asbjj.com.au. We do not take walk ins and all trials need to be organised via email. Free trials are for Melbourne residents only.
Kids trials: We only take kids trials for the first 4 weeks of each term.
Adults trials: take place all year around except for over the Christmas and New Year’s period.
Additional information on Kids classes: Kids classes on the timetable run only during school term. Special competition training is held for our competitors during school holidays. We will only be taking trials and enrolments for kids classes in the first half of each term (last trial date provided below). All remaining trials will be waitlisted until the following term.
*The 8 to 10/11yrs and 11 to 15yrs classes are the same program. Students between 10yrs and 12yrs can be accommodated in either class depending on the student size and maturity. We can also accommodate siblings together if they are close enough in age. Students can only attend one of these classes unless they are in the older class and attend as a helper for the younger class (by approval only).
Dates for Kids classes 2026 (Trials will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays only)
TERM 1
Classes start: Monday 2nd February.
Trials and enrolments: Monday 2nd February to Saturday 28th February.
Grading: Saturday 28th March, Monday 30th March, Wednesday 1st April.
Last day of Term 1: Thursday 2nd April.
TERM 2
Classes start: Saturday 18th April (This is the only term where classes will start on Saturday due to term 1 finishing early).
Trials and enrolments: Monday 20th April to Saturday 16th May.
Grading: Saturday 20th June, Monday 22nd June, Wednesday 24th June.
Last day of Term 2: Saturday 27th June.
TERM 3
Classes start: Monday 13th July.
Trials and enrolments: Monday 13th July to Saturday 8th August.
Grading: Saturday 12th September, Monday 14th September, Wednesday 16th September.
Last day of Term 3: Saturday 19th September.
